Hi! This is just to alert people that I have placed a sample PWAD that
was made with the new version of VERDA, Ver. 0.20, in alt.binaries.doom.
ALERT!!!! This is not that good of a play. It is not meant to be, either.
It is simply a promotional PWAD showing off some of the capabilities of the
new VERDA. Bob Robinson, Robert Fenske, and Mike Carter did not ask me to
do this and do not know that I am doing it. I simply feel that VERDA v0.20,
available at wuarchive.wustl.edu in /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS/games/doomstuff, is
_the_ best editor available for Doom. It basically does the same things as
RG DoomEdit, but it's FREE, and it is EASIER TO USE, and it's for DOS. It
also allows you to create switches and things that I have not seen in any other
editor. You still can't build fropm scratch, but it's coming. For now, this
is the best thing out there. Give the PWAD a look. If you like what I have
done, get the editor and send some email to the guys who wrote the program.
They definately accept all the praise/suggestions/criticism you have to offer.

NOTE: For people who do not get alt.binaries.doom I will be willing to mail
you the PWAD or post it to an ftp. Just email me and let me know.

It may be a good editor, but it's not there, and apparently has never been
there.

Newdeu *is* there, though, and works great for me.

It _IS_ there. It is in pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS/games/doomstuff. The
file name is called verda020.zip. I agree, newdeu is great, but VERDA
is better, in my opinion. Give it a look. Later!
