The #2 & 3 weapons in heretic seem to have the same effect. You
have to hit those golden guys about 7 times before they're dead. These
wewapons don't seem to get increasingly more powerful as in Doom/Doom
II.

Even the Ethereal arrows take two shots.

If you recall in Doom/Doom2 the shotgun is more powerful than the
chaingun and the chaingun is weapon #4 while the shotgun is weapon #3.
Heretic follows the same convention: The crossbow (3) is more powerful
than the claw (4).

The crossbow, like the shotgun in Doom, fires slower but does more damage
while the claw orb, like the chaingun, fires faster but does less damage.

I just wish there was something beyond the claw orb. Like a holy hand
granade or something :).

So you're saying the wand and the crossbow each take 7 shots?

I thought you said they took 7. Weapon 3 is the crossbow, weapon 2 is the
wand. Weapon 4 (the only other one in the shareware version) is a bit
like the chaingun. Actually, it's totally like the chaingun in power
comparisons.. eh?
