Hi all,

I noticed a big difference in gold amount to repair an Enigma AP and a Forti
AP.
The Enigma will cost more than 20K gold pieces and the Forti less than 1K to
repair one durability point. Why is this ?
You would think its the same type of armor but are there other criteria that
makes it so expensive for an Enigma ?

Hope someone can explain this.
TIA.

Cheers, Steven

What were the base armors you made these runewords in? I.e. was perhaps
the Enigma made in a Superior AP, and the Forti made in a non-Superior
one?

Regards,

Patrick.

The Enigma was made in a superior AP, the Fort was not. Superior greatly
increases repair costs. The exact same thing would occur if you had Fort in
both armors, or Enigma in both armors.

Nope both were plain AP's with no extra stats.

How's life Patrick.......also waiting for the ladder reset and probably 1.13
patch ?
Can we then get together and play some chars on ladder ? Looking forward to
that.

As I wrote on Patrick's reply both are plain AP's, no difference but that
the Forti is named by Anya.
Don't expect that to be of any significance......or ?

Hmm, ok. As Shiflet said, Superior vs Non-Superior is known to make a
big difference in repair-costs. I don't know whether naming makes a
difference; perhaps someone else knows.

Finally, perhaps the 'rune-value' makes a difference; Jah and Ber are
quite a bit 'higher' than Lo, so perhaps that has influence on the
repair costs.... Can't confirm that either though; I could perhaps check
this on my Non-Ladder chars, there are bound to be some Non-Superior
Enigmas and Fortitudes there....

All is fine. Haven't played much Diablo II the last several weeks, due
to several other very good games coming out (Batman: Arkham Asylum was
particularly good), although I will perhaps play a bit more from now on.

1.13 would be nice, and recent news has confirmed the release of that
and the next Ladder Reset will be closely related. Curious what 1.13
will bring.

1.13 will probably mean I will be playing more D2, but I still have the
same restriction/problems as now with regard to playing together. But
sure, if I can, I'm up for some questing together...

Did you make them yourself, or trade for them? Cause I have TONS of non-sup
enigmas, and not a one of them repairs for that high, whereas all my
superior ones do. Same with forts.

Well both are traded items but if its a sup it should be in the items name I
presume, like "Superior Archon Plate" and in neither of the armors its the
case. So I can presume that the Enigma is a plain AP......right ?
Well I plan to make one myself and see if the repair price is the same.
Thx for the answers guys and I will post the result.

No. The item no longer says "superior" once it's been runeworded.

Aaah that I didn't know. That should explain it. Thx for the info.
