My fav Sorceres and I hit the Ancients in Nightmare last night and we had to
give up because of pain in the wrists and fingers. What do you slayers do
when you're at it for hours ? Sometimes people brag that they diablow the
whole day away. Without getting into the trouble we encountered last night ?

They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses !
And what's with all the carrots ?
What do they need such good eyesight for anyway ?
Bunnies ! Bunnies ! It must be BUNNIES !

Patrick, not everyone's hands tolerate long stretches at the keyboard. Some
people are very susceptible to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, just like some people
are likelier to pull a hamstring while running than others.

Make sure you are not presently typing in an awkward position by positioning
your keyboard no higher than your bellybutton. Wireless keyboard placed on
your lap are ideal. This will alleviate the stress on the ligaments on the
underside of your wrists. Do not type with your keyboard off to one side,
make sure it is directly in front of you, this will relieve the stress on
the tendons on the sides of your wrists. If necessary, consider a more
ergonomic keyboard like a "split" style model. There are also wrist
supports sold on the internet for suffers of chronic hand pain caused by
long stretches at a keyboard.

Mice and Trackball are just as likely to cause injury via repetitive
clicking as your keyboard is. Consider wireless model that will allow you to
follow the same rules of comfort as described above for your keyboard.

Finally, don't forget that a lot of us grew up typing on a computer, and now
do it all day long at work. Our hands have adapted to long stretches of
keyboard and mice use, though pain is common among this group of people
also.

Anex.....Explodeazon, 2 words... hand massages.

I forgot to mention that even a 5 minute rest every hour will help greatly
with wrist and finger pain. I also recommend that a lovely woman rub hot
oils and myrrh and spices on your hands and then dry them with her long,
dark hair.

Anex......PassionOfTheChrist-azon, frankincense is also nice.

Repetitive stress injury is always a concern. You could try a mouse pad
that has a gel-filled wrist rest, I have one and I like to use it
sometimes, not all the time though but variety is nice. There's some
ergonomically shaped mice out there also. I may look into getting one
cause my hand hasn't been happy either about my constant computer use.
Could also change the height of your chair, the position of your arm,
and just take breaks sometimes. Also, a lot of the time you can simply
hold down the button to attack rather than constantly click it, try to
do that as much as you can.

I'll pick on Lincoln for a good example...

He had about 12 level 99 bowazons in 1.09. He also said he has signs of
carpul tunnel syndrome now.

Play less. If you're hand is getting tired because you click on the mouse
that much, listen to your hand.

It's okay. She *should* still have long slender legs.

Hey it was 15, not 12! :)

What cured my problem was learning to use the mouse with my
left hand at work. (I'm right handed)
This way my right wrist is fresh for when I come home from work
to play D2.

This condition has a specific name: Nintendonitis.

'u' has given *very* good advice: change equipment or change hobbies.

The hot oil massages are good too. Apply one to her feet, ask her to
reciprocate on your hands, then offer to do her back, and things will
fall into place.

Does this work too with sore elbows from too much pub-camping and
Guinness quaffing? Maybe we should ask Saber about fresh news on the
subject...

I used to play "Killer Instinct" on SNES way back in the day. With all
those wacky "combo" moves that usually involved continually rubbing
your thumb on the plus-shaped thingie on the game controller, I used
to get a wicked case of "video thumb".

Now with Diablo, I get pain not in my fingers, but in the center of my
palm and in my inner forearms from my wrist to my elbow. Lately I've
been squeezing those "stress balls" (the gel or sand-filled balls)
several times a day. Seems to have helped.

Jill

(Who'd sooner give up work than Diablo . . .)

Tennis Elbow will get you some sympathy, but beer-bottle-elbow will not.

This condition suggests you're so hard up for a drink that your not hard
up enough for things interesting to her.

Imitate the cucumber, dude, not a fish.
