I had no internet at all sunday...so, i was unable to try your pally
then.
I am begginning to really hate my ISP !
However, i was able to connect today and gave him little ride.
The only problem was that the lag (my ISP again...) was so huge that i
was not able to really evaluate the char. I did some minor killing in
act one.
The only thing i was able to notice is that he is taking damage fast.
Some points in dex could improve your blocking rate (33% at the
moment).
I picked some items that i left in your stash. I dont know if you may
need them for other chars.
I will try it again later tonight if my internet connection improves..
And now, the embarrasing part... Hum! At the first try, i forgot to
change hotkeys and went to Outer Cloister.
I met a mean bosspack...
I got confuse in the auras and attack commands..
And...
hum,
he died !! (shame, shame on me !!!!)

It's okay Louis, it's not like it's hardcore. Also he is only level 82.
We can level him quick in Hell games with you me and Christine but I
don't even know if it is needed. You let me know. In a week we could
have him up to 87, no? He is not exactly the best solo runner in Hell
against certain packs.
As you can see there are unused skill points. See if you can do the
math and figure how much his blocking will improve with more points in
Dex
As for being hit a lot, now that you mention it, once I started using
the Kingslayer I noticed it looked like he was taking more damage.
Before the Kingslayer he was using the Nord Tenderizer which had a
tendency to freeze the opposition and he seldom got hit. There were
times where I still used the Nord's against a pack then weapon switched
to Kingslayer for bosses. I grew attached to the Nord's. Funny, eh?
I have a Vamps gaze and Tal Rashas mask for LS. I forget if they also
have DR. Maybe that can help, let me know. If I see you on at the same
time I can bring it into a normal game. As I said I am holdign off big
muling and passing eilite gear till I get my second PC back. But with
you in a game I can pass things easily. And if you think a specific
shield would be better than his Spirit let me know.
Also let me know if other things would be helpful. Such as I have a
String of Ears which I noticed the other day and I thought it might be
better than the Credendum that hs is wearing. GoreRider boots seem to
be working good, at least I think they are.
Tell me what rings and ammies would be good for him to have, such as
Raven Frost or Dwarf Star. I have a bevy of those. I just have to find
them. Even if they sit in his stash for specific situations like a
Raven Frost against uber-Izzy, I should be ableto prepare him to a
degree.
Misfit is supplying the Drac's Grasp. Misfit also has a pally. He said
you can check him out. Maybe Lugonn is better than Jr. Jr's Fanat will
come in handy and I do not know what Lugonn has on him. I will email
you the account later.
I will post another thread later regarding Bowazons.
BTW I am now in Hell on the new SC ladder and just got my first new SC
ladder key (Terror). If you think you want to play on the west I can
spend some time rushing you into Hell. Once you get to Hell you would
likely see the gang plenty of times and partake in some great games
with them.
You can also spend all the time you want runnign Jr around and I will
try to join you with either the Aunt or a barb. The Aunt kilsl things
fast but is not as good of a big boss killer. She is also still missing
a +3 jav skill ammy or a Mara's. Save any Jav GCs you find for her. She
packs a whallop and is still growing.

Glad to see that you are not taking his death too badly!!
I dont remember what is the equation between number of oints in
dexterity and augmentation of chance to block percentage. Maybe someone
else could help. Or you could simply try it; it wont hurt.
If the equation is something like 10 dex = + 5% you will get a better
idea of what you want to do. Check the augmentation of the chance to
hit as well.
I noticed that you have in stash a Lightning skill Grand Charm (with 12
faster hit recovery). On East that worth a fortune; you could easily
get an HoZ with PDiamond for it (or soj(s)). If you dont have a sorc,
it could be an interesting avenue. The Pdiamond HoZ will give your
pally 68 res. all. That would give some freedom regarding gear options
(like changing the credendum for a string or having ring like raven,
etc)
Vamp gaze with string and dwarf could be a nice DR option.
I will try it again tonight. It will be around 11:30. If you are still
up, maybe we could try other gear.

something useful.
If the HoZ will set the pally up perfectly then by all means that's
what we'll have to do.You think that will be better than the Spirit, I
take your word for it. I just recently leveled the pally from beginning
NM to where he is now and geared him up with what he has but knowing
that the gear could surely change.
So I should look for a trade game that says "HoZ here" or somethign
like that. I remember your pally had two of those shields. They must be
good. They improve blocking?
I will wait till I see you in game and we'll make the switch for the
Vamp's gaze and dwarf and string.

2 to combat skills
150/200 enhanced Defense (be carefull to trade for an high end one)
30% faster blocking
+30% chance to block
20 to str
20 to vit
20% bonus to attack rating

One person asked for 2 SoJs for the shield. They should read the name
of the game and not just look at the HoZ in the name.
If there is something else I can offer alomg with the charm that might
make the trade quicker let me know.

rune in it. Guy was in and out so fast that I never had a chance to
check out the rune. I'd rather have the Pdiamond I think.

Lugonn is wearing a virginal Griswold's. There is nothing in the 12 sockets.
Sadly Shady has been dumping a lot of our off-ladder stuff and got rid of
all the jewels. You know, several in the 30 - 40 ED range, 15% IAS, that
sort of thing. I have some runes up to Gul (I believe) that could be
socketed...
He has no Fanaticism, just HF and Salvation with one point in prayer and
cleansing I think.

You can make an interesting test. Take Palastoned for a ride (you have
the account and pw in your mail) somewhere in Hell where you can find
some melee or ranged attackers that are not physical immunes, and let
them hit you for a while (when the life bubble is 3/4 down, hit some of
them to replenish). You should notice that the typical sound of the
shield blocking is a lot more frequent then the sounds corresponding at
the char beeing hit.

If you really want to get the HoZ, another option would be selling your
charm for one soj (on East, with the very nice second mod it has, it
would be easy), and then offering the soj for the HoZ. The point is
that the probalities of a sorc having a soj and looking for the charm
are greater then a sorc having an Hoz and looking for the charm. And
calling a game "my soj 4 HoZ" is a kind of winner. When i needed an HoZ
for Christine's pally, i created a game named that way, and got my
(her) shield within minutes. It was in 1.10 though...pallies were not
as tempting to play as they are right now. But, still, 2 sojs for HoZ
is a steal IMO.

Personnaly, when i offer a specific item for trade, i dont wait in
town. I create the game with the proper title and play (meaning
questing damn keys lately..).

Sorry for that deception.... I would have be(been??) so happy to find
an exciting item for you....it would have helped my
guiltyness....killing that poor pally who was all stunt beeing handle
by unknowned (and clumsy) hands....

Hey Misfit,
What level is Lugonn? I never played a Griswold pally...is it a good
set using the free slots ? ( i mean belt, rings, etc)
Dont forget that if you want to give some of my chars a try before
coming in East for UT, you can email me and i will send you account and
pass in reply.
Since Orion wants to play the bowazone, the available chars are:
Clvl 95 Palastoned (zeal/fana/avenger. Slvl 20 HolyShield)
Clvl 84 palastone (same as above but with max HolyShield (slvl 24 i
think and salvation and slvl 12 HolyFreeze on weapon)
Clvl 86 Necrofungus (Trang skellymancer. 16 skellies, 12 mages, 23
revives and slvl 21 (IIRC) CE)
I actually have two complete keysets and hunting for the third...

lesser-uber runs on East US let us know. Louis has a busy schedule so
we might have to go by when he is available. Might be late Saturday.
Hope the wife does not get mad at me if I keep the kids up late. :)

If you and Shady are dumping more non-Ladder gear great Javazon gear
wold be appreciated if it is not needed at your end. I know you already
said something about offing something already. I haven't even been able
to find a +3 zon ammy all this time. And I haven't been able to trade.
Non-pally spirit shields are also in demand if you happen to have any
around. And never ever throw away Insight sticks in NL and never give
them to strangers. They are valuable as ice water in hell.
Louis should be able to determine if Lugonn is a better build to go
with for UT. I'd prefer that one of the palies walk in with Fanat,
which Jr has. Two HF/Salvation pallies seems redundant.

Ok. Unfortunately Shady dumped most of the stuff on 'her' mules, a lot of it
without checking with me first. :-(
I think I did manage to grab a Griffon's Eye before she dumped it. That any
good to you? Spirit Monarchs were dropped, as were Insights. :-(

Sure, no point in having two high-level salvations and a lot better having a
