Seconded, it's the NG. I wasn't around yesterday because I've been sick
and in and out of hospital, more's the pity. :(

Yeah, it's a shame. Most people online these days likely have never
heard of Usenet, or if they have, they just think it's "something you
get with your Google account".

Of course that's not entirely a bad thing - would you really want people
who think things like that posting here or any other group you read?

Just remember back when AOL first offered usenet access and the hordes
of the thinking challenged who spilled out over usenet like a sewage
tsunami.

True, true. But it would be nice to get the more intelligent and
perceptive modern-day Net users to come to Usenet and revitalise what
appears to be a sadly dying medium.
