What socket ali baba with

I found an Ali baba (2 sockets) today and I wanna give it to my barb, but
were should I socket te ali baba with
Is there a rune word that increases MF on weapons???

Put a couple Ist runes in it. (if you can afford them)

You cannot use runewords in magical, unique or rare items. Only grey
"normal" socketed items can create runewords. However, you can use runes
individually in an Ali Baba, and the "Ist" rune (3 to 4 soj's if you're
trading for it) will give you an increase of 30% MF. This means if you put
two IST runes in an ali baba you would have 60% more magic find. A pretty
significant bonus :-).

First, you cannot runeword any unique (gold), rare (yellow), or
magical items (blue.) So, that eliminates that.

The set answer is socket it with 2 IST runes for an additional 60%MF

I am not sure what the highest MF is for a Jewel but that could be a
consideration.

I think it's about 17% tops for a jewel, that's with a prefix and a
suffix, very hard to come by :)

As i think your barb use his sword to kill, the best option would be to
socket it with something that hurt the opponent, don't waste your time on
ist rune unless you very rich(i mean in the game, no talking about ebay
*lol*).
Usually ort runes are nice for damages, and most of mf runners just skip
leb, which have high lightning res. ED/sias jewels are also a good choice,
with value between ist(very expensive) and ort(very cheap).

they all have two sockets. dont put anything in the sockets other than IST
runes, with two ISTs, its worth a TON, with anything else its worth less
than it would be with the two open sockets (which isnt much anyway).

I have 2 AliBaba swords and they are already weak to hurt Mephisto in hell.
I would not put anything but IST runes. The little increase in damage using
Gems or ED jewel does not worth to put anything else than MF stuff. I always
weaken Mephisto with my main weapon then switch to the 2 AliBaba to do the
kill. I would still prefer to have 4 empty sockets if I can not find any IST
runes.
