I fired up my computer this morning to check my auctions and maybe do a key
run while my meds kick in and, when I go to set MP level I see that it's
missing from the 'change quest' screen. Also, on starting a game with my DH
there's no MP lvl display at top-right of the screen (she was in MP2).

I've scanned the forums and found nothing. I quit right out of the game and
re-started it - no change. I even re-booted my computer to no avail.

Am I the only person getting this? I don't see any chatter anywhere about
it. If it's just me then I'll look to seeing if I can 'repair' my install
(although the PCs rock-stable and the HDD's only a few weeks old). <shrug>

I just logged in to test and it's still showing for me.

In the end it was as simple as going into 'options' - 'gameplay' and ticking
'enable monster power selection' (or similar).

Yet I didn't untick it... I have done at least one key-run a day and it's
been several days since I've even opened the options menu - and far, far
longer since I went into the gameplay sub-menu!

Stoopid game! (I wonder, is there a hidden hot-key that I inadvertntly hit?
If so, why would you have a hot-key for that? <shakes head>)

Thanks for reading - as you were. ;)

It unticked it for me after I patched up to 1.07. Weird. D3 is still
glitchy methinks. At least there's no pesky Conviction MSLEBs though ;)

Had same thing happen to me--but after a patch. Also had to remember
to set it for the 1.07 PTR, where I started new chars.

While I think of it, are you getting any/many surveys to fill online?
I finally was able to submit my first request for $50 (cashed in 1000
points) from Global Test Market a few weeks ago.

Ok, Imp said the same thing. I may have had to do it before and forgotten -
pain meds mean that a lot of 'non-essential' things don't get remembered -
and some essential things too!

Nah. I gave up on GTM after answering 4 - 10 questions only to be told that
I'm not in the target group too many times. I think that, out of perhaps 25
surveys I was only accepted for one and the time spent answering the
preliminary questions was around 5 x as much as the single survey I was
accepted for so I unsubbed. :(

True - although some of the combinations coupled with the monster life pool
at MP3/4 and above mean that my DH is dead anyway - often multiple times.
S'funny, I don't remember the last time my DH died at MP2 but as soon as I
go to MP3 (solo this is) I die about once every 10 - 15 minutes. :-/

Mmm yeah... SSG did kick the bucket once at MP2 recently but I think
that was mostly because the buttons don't always seem to register every
time. Sometimes it'll take 3-4 key presses before the skill I want will
actually work and those 3-4 seconds can mean the difference between life
and death!

Serves you right for your heresy.

When you left D2 you sold your soul.

Fool.

Dead multiple times? Lol.

Come to HC.

It's where the men play.
