Were the hell is the Claw Viper Temple ?

I get the horadrim's cube, the shaft of the staff and i desperetly look for
the headpiece.

I've look everywhere from the town to the lost Oasis... I don't find the
Lost city and thus, nor the claw viper temple !

Please help me !

All maps are randomly generated - no one can tell you "where" it is. It
really is easy to find anyplace though - simply go around ALL THE OUTSIDE
EDGES of the map FIRST, then fill in the middle. You will never ever miss a
thing if you do it this way.

Yea what they said, explore the edges and when you find Valley of the
Snakes, it is there. Took me awhile too but I knew there had to be an
path/opening to it somewhere.

turn map fade off. makes it much easier to spot things. after you find it,
turn it back the way you like it.

I really walked close all the bounds. My map has no gap. I did this several
times ( i gained some xp and $$! ) this drive me crazy.
Do you confirm this valley of the snake is connected to the far oasis ?

Hm... I don't personally remember where this thing was, but Blizzard's
Diablo II page says that the "Valley of Snakes" is connected to the "Lost
City". This "Valley of Snakes" has the "Claw Viper Temple" somewhere in
it...

I've just completed this bit ...

In the Far Oasis there is a stairway leading down through the
left-most cliff edge - this will take you to a lower level of the Far
Oasis - which contains the entrance to the Lost City.

Similarly, The Lost City has some steps leading up through the
top-most cliff edge - this will take you to a higher level of the Lost
City - which contains the entrance to the Valley of Snakes.

It took me a while to recognise the steps as they look very similar to
the rest of the cliff. But they are there somewhere ...

I'm still playing. Still "working" on my mod. Trying to figure out a good way
to have high runes available in SP without having it be to "easy" or having lots
of lower runes dropping.

I'm not currently playing any Diablo either and haven't for a while. That said I still have my
original 2 x Diablo disks (plus Hellfire) and 4 x D2 / LoD sets (I had a boarder who played and we
both had laptops running for muling.) I have D2/LoD installed on a couple old Pentium M Thinkpads
that I keep around in case (one of) my worst fears come true and I lose internet access.

I still have D3 too but not installed anywhere. I played it until I discovered Path of Exile and
haven't looked back since. I've been playing Path of Exile pretty much daily for over 7 years now,
since beta. I don't play much more than an hour or two a day on average but not many days go by
without me firing it up.

You're welcome. I've also been thinking of moving around some areas and preset
maps. Currently, I've moved The Swampy Pit, The Flayer Dungeon, the location of
Lam Esam's Tome, most of Act 5, and the first four tower dungeons. All quests
can still be completed, so nothing to worry about there. I am wondering what
other areas I can move around, though.

Interesting. So if/when I play it it'll be a bit different. Good to know - otherwise I'd have
assumed that I had confirmation that I've finally gone completely crazy. :)
