Is D2Legit.com (and the others) - legit?

Are items purchased from d2legit.com, d2forever, ithed.com, etc "valid"
items? A friend told me Blizzard somehow makes money by letting these 3rd
party vendors resell items. I always assumed those websites were selling a
bunch of duped items.

Having played for over a year and never finding a Burizza, Windforce, or
Eaglehorn - I have been tempted to just buy one. The cost is trivial
compared to the time I spent looking for them. If I could buy a Windforce
from Blizzard for $30, I would. But I don't buy one from some dupers
website only to have it disappear and maybe get my account banned in the
process.

Apparently I've been missing out. Or have I been playing it smart? Does
Blizzard condone the sales of these items?

I don't even know what "bugged" and "ith" mean. Are those items safe to
use/purchase?

thanks

No, most items are botted, hacked and/or duped. All three sites
offer "Ith" items, out of which the first ones maybe were created
by a bug (actually I have no idea how the first Ith items were
created), but if you now see how many items with the same stats
are offered - no way.

Shouldn't a buriza be quite easily in the trade channels for gems
or runes?

I think officially they do, but they apparently don't take any
actions against the sellers.

People hope these items disappear with the patch release.

Few or none of the items that are sold at these sites are legit. Don't
do business with them, you'd really not feel good about it.

Also, consider how having these items would change your game
experience. For instance, I spent over a year looking for Tal Rasha's
armour. The only way to get a legit one was to find one. I spent
countless hours doing boring MF runs, and at times I wished I could
just buy the damn thing. Eventually I found one, but now I had a new
problem: I suddenly lacked a goal. Within days after finding the
armour, my interest in the game waned dramatically, and I barely
played for three months until I tried out Hardcore, which was a new,
refreshing experience altogether.

Start small. The Buriza is a realistic find, since Mephisto in
Nightmare can currently drop it. Do a set number of runs every day,
increase your Magic Find as you go, and increase your "pool" of useful
items. In a way this is tedious, but if you look at it as some sort of
challenge (much like training for a marathon), there is actually fun
to be had. :)

But this is merely my view. The views and priorities of others may
well differ.

If I did not believe I would *ever* find one, I would not mind buying one -
simply to be able to at least try them in a game. Perhaps I should
investigate "open battlenet".

I played Hardcore for my first year of D2, and eventually switched to
Softcore because I didn't like having to dodge PK's using hacked uber-items.
Since I learned how to play using HC, my SC characters basically never die,
lol.

I did nightly Meph MF runs (both NM and HL) for months using a FW sorc with
about 500MF. I did find a lot of good stuff, like Arreats Face, Titans,
etc. I *never* found a Burriza, Windforce, Lightsaber, or Godfather. It
seemed like the best items were just out of my reach. I found the Immortal
Kings set, but not the armor.

I'm hoping 1.10 will get rid of the hacked items, and generally make the
game more interesting again.

thanks !

Hi Gunde,

I was afraid to trade for them, since I assumed they had been duped. If I
found one, I would *never* trade it!

I hope so. If not, perhaps the "Ladder" arena will give people a "clean"
place to play.

thanks

No Tim, I'm not a "troll". You however, are a retard.

It was an honest question.

Iths are items that were made by the ith rune word. There was a bug long ago
that would take out the runes but leave the rune word bonuses. Then they
would put in hacked jewels to get the improved states even higher. They are
hacked or created by 3rd party programs more then they are bugged.

I did not read all your replies so I will ask what realm you are on. If on
softcore uswest I have a burizy you can have. It is up to you but buying an
item that you can not touch and can lose in so many different ways "I" think
is a waist of money, to be honest I can't stand the thought of giving money
to any asshole hackers that have destroyed this game. As always it is up to
you but the offer still stands how ever you may think of it. If you liked
unbelievable hacked items then open is you game. I have seen items that will
allow the user to do 10,000,000 damage per hit. Like one would need it. It
is a hackers dream there but items you get there legit or not you can not
use on realms as I am sure you know.

Funny coincidence... The fact that honest people NEVER actually use the
word "legit".

But con-men, thieves, liars, oh yeah. They'll assure you that the TV
they're selling from the back of a van is legit. And the crisp new
hundred-dollar bill with the ink still wet is of course legit. And the
pyramid-schemes are always "legit multi-level marketing strategies."

When's the last time the salesman at Best Buy or CompUSA said: "And don't
worry, all of our merchandise is legit"???

Ever hear an elementary school teacher say: "Hey, all of the lessons we'll
learn today are totally legit"???

Do you recall ever hearing a nurse in the Emergency Ward say: "And just so
you don't worry, none of our treatments are based upon voodoo or witchcraft;
they're all completely legit"???
