Amazon Q - How do str and dex affect Javelin dmg?

I always thought only Strength increases jav damage, but when I remove
Cat's Eye (adds 25 to dex, but no extra dmg) from my Tankazon, the
damage in the char screen drops!?

How do str and dex affect Javelin dmg?
Does anyone know the formulae?

increasing dex does increase damage of javazons and bowazons - i think its
the same for every character with a throwing weapon.

I thought I read somewhere that 2str+2dex = +1 damage but I don't know for
sure, it may be that adding dex for javazon works the same way as adding
strength to a paladin melee char.

I think you are right.. increasing Dex and/or Str at lvl time increases my
Jav damage, so both must be a factor.

hmm damage bonus for Titan's is 75 str - 75 dex (as listed on diabloii.net)
I think you need equal parts str/dex for javazon.
