Hi all,
as a casual single player, it took me _very_ long to reach Diablo in
Hell. In fact, I started "Roman" (SC) around Xmas 2001, and got past Big
D only yesterday.
But the colour of this Diablo was quite irritating. He was as dark green
as an old fashioned bottle of liquor. And I had a hard time getting him
down and avoiding this lightning flame, which killed my character twice,
because he didn't evade fast enough (getting stuck at one of these
censored gothic corners). Diablo was extremely fast.
Does anybody know what the dark green colour does stand for, i.e. which
mod was causing this weird appearance?

Anander, Lvl 47 necro with nothing more than a rogue, a fire golem, some
fashion accessories and a bit of underwear (playing single, of course).
AFAIK, his color has nothing to do with mods, it depends on the difficulty
level.

Wow, form Norm/Act1 to Hell/Act4 in 18 months... "very long" reaches a
new meaning :^)
I might be missing something, but AFAIK, Hell act bosses have all
different (darker) colors (with respect to Normal ones). I'm not sure,
but I think NM act bosses have different colors, too. It's always like
that, no matter which mods they spawn with. In fact, act bosses always
spawn with the same mods :^)

P.D.: BTW, isn't the dark green Diablo the NM one, and an almost black
one the Hell one?

Hmm, thats a good question. I have no idea which is which, but in NM and
Hell he's definitely not Red.

I notice this only with Andariel (Normal beige skin, Nightmare blue skin,
Hell black skin I believe), Duriel (Normal brownish, Nightmare green/gray,
Hell ?), Diablo (Normal red, Nightmare bronze, Hell ?). I don't notice color
changes with Mephisto and Baal. Since I installed LoD, some area bosses
(unique monsters) have different colors:
- Corpsefire is yellow (classic) or bright green (LoD);
- Rakanishu is bright green (classic) or blue (LoD);
- Fangskin is blue (classic) or pink (LoD);
- Lord de Seis is blue (classic) or dark red (LoD);
- etc.
