Hey guys, back in the days of 1.09 there were some instructions for
installing 2 instances of D2:LoD & getting them running on the 1 WinXP PC. I
have 2 cd keys but only 1 PC for the moment. Can one still do this under
1.11b? Links appreciated - TIA! ;)

You should be able to. I've never done it myself, but as I recall,
this is what you do.

Install Game, patch it and everything.
Move the folder it's in somewhere else.
Go to the add/remove program thingy and uninstall D2.
Install game, patch it and everything with your 2nd CD key.
Next you want to do something like activiate fast user switching under
XP, and then open up D2 from the first folder with 1 user and from the
other location under a 2nd user.

Someone who actually does this can fix any mistakes if I've made any
or just write their own reply to you.

At the move folder business, you move a couple of folders into a new
folder.

And then install with another user after uninstalling.

Make sure one of the short cuts points to the old folder that you made
for one of the users.

If you are only looking for a Classic CD, you can usually get them on
Ebay for cheap. About $20 I think.

I started back at work for Peter Moody today. So, up at 3am to start
work at 3.30am. Worked through to a bit after 9am. We managed to
finish in good time. This afternoon was only from 2 pm to 2.45pm as
it's a public holiday so the pool wasn't open to swim all the horses.

So, not as many hours as you, but I expect I did a lot more walking.

Its easier than that, get hold of Showcdkey and Changecdkey and
you only have to copy the whole directory after one Installation
I think you can guess how you would use the programs.

Mate, I moved to this well-hidden country at the age or 11. I was being
taught geography in England (POB) but, on reaching these fair shores, found
that the school I was going to didn't teach Geography, or Latin, French or
History. I had to drop a lot of subjects.

So Croatia isn't anywhere near the Baltic huh? My bad.
