What is the best industrctable armor for the monk??? What is the best mail
for the monk? What is the best plate for the monk (doens't have to be
inds)?

I believe the best armor for the Monk is Arcane's Valor. Since this armor
is a Unique Item it also meets your Indestructible category. As for Plate
because the way the monks class was designed, plate armor usually does more
bad then good.

Valor is not indestructable.

Bovine Plate is the best I've found so far. Basically with a plate it has to
have very high armor boosters to offset the loss of the monks natural armor
bonus.

Plate which my monk is using or some Saintly/Godly Plate, you'd get good
AC which the monk's natural bonuses can't beat even up to level 30.

i may be out of my league here talking about hellfire unques, but the best
Diablo unique for monk would be Sparking Mail. its got AC 30 and the monk
treats unique mail as leather, so no detriment to natural bonuses ect. plus
the small (very small) bonus of giving creatures that hit you a little
lightning damage (1-10). yeah, i know its not indestructible, but this
should really be a concern, the best armour is what you should wear, not the
cheapest to maintain. now if you ever found Godly Studded Leather of Ages,
that would be great, but would you wear it over Godly Studded Leather of
Perfection? how much value do you place on indestructablity?

I like Naj's Light Plate myself.... It's served me well through 29th level
and it's still going strong. By the way, exactly what happens to a monk
that wears Full Plate, PLate Mail, etc.?? What's the penalty??

the other character. Sometimes, the plate offers better than what you
can get through the natural bonuses.

Naj's Plate is very cool up to a point. But after being killed for the
umpteenth time by various arrow-firing flesh/stone/fire clan archers
in hell difficulty catacombs, I switched to the bovine plate and
haven't looked back since. Monks get stiffed in the hp/mp stakes -
which makes him a real challenge to play. I like :)

I used Arkaine's valour for a long time. then I got the Godly Armor of
the Mammoth from Wirt (AC 16 +198% +70 hp. That is pretty good. But
now the best I can find is the Bovine Plate AC 150. It is better than
Naj's Light Plate in most every respect. My ac is now 235 and my monk
is doing 120 damage with a King's staff of healing.
