Any worth my while to check out? I never got into mods till D2 days. I
wondered as I'm going to fire up D1 again this weekend, and something a
bit different might be fun.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Michael <Conjure...@t-online.de> looked up from reading the entrails
of the porn spammer to utter "The Augury is good, the signs say:
Technically that's an addon not a mod.

For mods, try Abysmal and/or Netherworld.

If you can't find them on the net anywhere, let me know and I can mail
them to you - I have them both archived and they're each under a meg in
size. Unlike D2 mods, D1 mods were binary edits of the .exe.
I have Abysmal V2+ and Netherworld v2.01

I don't particularly want you to FOAD, myself. You'll be more of
a cautionary example if you'll FO And Get Chronically, Incurably,
Painfully, Progressively, Expensively, Debilitatingly Ill. So
FOAGCIPPEDI. -- Mike Andrews responding to an idiot in asr

Cheers, I'll have a look and see :-)

There's also The Hell:

This all-at-onceness is critical, so keep it in mind!

The second link's site doesn't seem to work right for me. There's only a
music file and "Select your language:" with no choices. But it does
sound very interesting from the first link!

The first link is, of course, the official site. I included the wiki link
because the info there is more concise than the official site. (It works
for me using Opera; I don't know why it doens't work for you.)

I didn't think to mention, though, that The Hell is ~180mb, and the music
expansion is ~1gb -- nobody's idea of a small download.

Another mod (which I forgot to mention) is The Awakening:
http://diablo.phx.pl/awake/
http://www.moddb.com/mods/diablo-the-awakening
(Again, first site is the official site.)

I haven't tried Awakening, but it at least *looks* good to me. ~126mb
download + 1.3mb update (and a version of diabloclicker customized for
Awakening, ~100kb).

This is my big heroic exit, asshole. Don't fuck it up.
