you know, I really don't know what all the fuss is with the Betony Isle
demo, but I'm going to take my female Archmage over there for little tour to
see what's there in the full version...
And I'm still not sure exactly which dungeon was featured in the 16MB
demo...but I've never seen a layout quite like it in the full version
anyways....

Very little, I'm afraid :(
The Betony Isle Demo has more towns and more dungeons. The dungeon demo
is less popular (for some reason; I haven't played it, myself).
I guess that the Betony demo is just more like full Daggerfall.

Well, I doubt that there is a dungeon anywhere that has guilds and shops
and other niceties ;)

what about from the shareware game "blast doors" --
"I WILL BREAK YOU!"
sunshine

Ok quick summary.
I'm sure you've seen the old "artillery game"... where you have a
tank and the other guy does too, and you're both sitting on a mountain
range. You pick velocity and angle and take turns shooting at one
another till someone kicks the bucket. Fun for the whole family.
There's been like 204212.5 clones and updates to this game, including
Scorched Earth, Gorilla (qbasic), and Worms. Each adding new features
and weapons. Blast Doors is the best of all these games.
It's 3d with like 100 weapons, realistic terrain with realtime damage,
funny quotes, colorful SVGA grapics, and all sorts of goodies. Get it
at www.ffiends.com - it's like 2 mb for the single player version.
Beware, this game is EXTREMELY addictive.
There has been a netplay version of the game in the works for some
time now. I'm not sure of it's current status.
Ack! NEVER heard of Scorched Earth!?!?! You poor person you.. ;) It's one
of those PC games that everyone has played or at least heard of (like DOOM,
Civilization, Zork, etc.). It's also very addicting. :)

VERY addicting indeed :)
I once found it on a shareware CDrom I got from a friend , and loaded it .
We both went "small game , lousy graphics" but played it and played it again
:)
And then came Worms - lasted for an entire summer vacation . Three crazy
guys and one equally insane girl locked in a room , playing Worms , shouting
'Stupid' etcetera :) Simply love that game .
I think I'll try this new one out tonight ... Haven't had an addiction for a
while now :)
