I'm wondering if anyone knows of a moderated web chat applet? I just
removed ICE chat from my site due to the extreme proliferation of
idiots. I'd love to continue a chat on my site, but an unmoderated chat
just isn't working.
If anyone knows about a moderated chat, please email me and let me know?

Ditto. I'd love to add a moderated applet to my site, even if the room
itself is moderated by someone else. :-) I'd love to hear about options.

Me too, I have the same chat on my page and many of the people in there
decide to hate me for no reason (pre-schoolers) - (directed at someone with
the initials JQ who doesn't come to the NG)
Maybe chat city is a good idea.

I've been trying to persuade my ISP to allow me to put up a Java-based
chat server for the Norn Underground, thus solving this problem. I, too,
am fed up with the ICE situation--as are SteerPike and several others.
I'm stuck with it, though, until I can get my own chat.
Moderation is everything--without it, we just get too many morons,
scrollers, drifters, and every other variety of loser known to man. It
must stop.

Yeah, I second that. IRC is much more fun than a Java applet on someone's
site. ('specially if ya use Pirch!!!) Then if we could get all the "celebs"
and regulars on there, that would rock. Any volunteers to start it up?? I
would if I had the time, but unfortunately I don't.

Add me to that list! I joined the ICE chat once, and I was told to
@P@[]#,/-=})!%^ by some Poopking..... I think I may have a solution though

Well, there are other chats out there, but they all have the same

their own Ops. I do know of a chat applet that does this! I`m just trying to
find the URL to their page, as I lost all my favorite places when I crashed my
computer... and unfortunatley.... "lost"... all the Re-installation disks

Well we all know of one hothead the regularly attends the ICE chat, but
I'm not mentioning names. I'm not worried about the person because I
pissed the person off one day ;-). But it is QUITE aggrevating.
