To get Kane's Wrath or not to get?

I rarely get C&C addons/expansions. I did buy Zero Hour addon for
C&C:Generals. It was worth buying since it had tons of new stuff. I
loved its various Generals AI to play against. It was so awesome. Single
player was decent. Multiplayer was rare (had one game that went for
three hours and lost), but fun.
Somehow, Kane's Wrath doesn't impress me from what I read and seen. It
looks pretty much the same like original C&C3. I don't play C&C3 online
since I suck and don't have the free time (took me over nine months to
finish the whole single player part). Single player was cool (very
pretty!), but I hated Scrins (never liked fighting and playing them). I
prefer old GDI vs. Nod. I am slow in finishing games due to work and
real life (play 0-2 hours a week). I still need to finish World in
Conflict, Crysis, Oblivion, play online games, etc.
What is this World Conquest like? I was told it is like Risk, but I
never played that boardgame (not a fan of those).
Can anyone tell me if this addon is really worth my money (saw it for
$17.99 at Fry's and Circuit City for this week) and my time? I need to
decide by Friday morning to buy the game during its sale/low price.
