I found some maps I would like to use however, the suffix is .mpr and my
game will not play anything but .mmx. Is there a converter out on the net
that will help? If so, can anyone point me in that direction?

Thanks

mpr are maps for Red Alert 1, and I don't think there's a converter.

The major problem - *one* of the major problems, for there are several - one
of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to
do it: or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well known fact, that those people who most *want* to
rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. To summarize the
summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should
on no account be allowed to do the job. To summarize the summary of the
summary: people are a problem.
And so this is the situation we find: a succession of Galactic Presidents
who so much enjoy the fun and palaver of being in power that they very
rarely notice that they're not.

there is no real convertor but it is possible to open a map in final alert
the mapeditor and than save it again as an mmx file but you cannot play the
game in multiplayer games without mailing or transferring manually to ra2

Go look to the origonel site www.westwood.com and go to the red alert site.
you can download final alert2 a mission editor and a map maker whit this
smal
program you could open the mpr file and save it as an mmx file.
The program is easey to use and you can make great maps.
On the red alert2 site you can also find great maps for red alert
