I've just finished my last game and I tried to launch another but what
hapened. Each turn costs me 50 years. I restarted the game few times with
settings like: King or Prince level, Premade World, 7 civilizations, Raging
Hordes or Restless Tribes, Russians or Romans, Male, Random Resources,
Regular Starting Positions. I even reinstall the game which is Civilization
II version 1.00, nothing. Then I patched 2.42 version, No success. When I
loaded tutorial.sav Everything was normal (One Round - 20 years) PLEASE HELP
!!!!!!!!!!

tutorial.sav is a Cheftin level game with 50 more turns in the game
than Prince and 100 more turns than King.

Different dificulty levels have difering amount of turns
unless your reading a scenario.

On King and above initally turns take 50 years.
First council meeting is 1500 BC.
Then at BC 1000, turns take 25 years.
Second council meeting is at 1 AD
Starting at AD 1, turns take 20 years.
Third council meeting is at 1000 AD
At AD 1000, on King turns take 10 years, but continue to take 20 on Empior.
The King level has a council meeting at 1500 AD
At AD 1500, on King level turns take 5, and take 10 on Empior
Both King and Empiror have a council meeting at 1750 AD
At AD 1750, on King and Empior turns take 2 years.
There's a council meeting at 1850
From AD 1850 on, turns take 1 year.
There's a council meeting at 1900 and 1950.
I'm not sure if theres a council meeting at 2000 or not.
Game ends 2020 but you can't do anything during those years.

Also lauching a spaceship seems to drop the turns down to
1 year if they aren't already each at least in one of the
scenarios I've played.

This results in 50 fewer turns on Empior than King.

I thought at Prince level, the BC years were 40 years to
BC 2000, then 20 years to AD 1, then the same as King
for an extra council meeting in the BC years compared
to King.
At Cheiftain, turns start 20 years, then is the same
as Prince when Prince turns drop to 20 years.

I haven't played at Prince or below in such a long time
I could be mistaken on those levels.

What is the point in the Council Meeting messages?
You seem to be able to choose Council Meeting from the
menu whenever you like anyway...

There is no problem.

The first turn is 50 years on most levels that I have played recently. The
years per turn changes as the game progresses. The tutorial might be
different in years per turn, but the start is 4000 BC and the next turn is
3950 BC in every game that I remember.
