havent played it myself, but supposedly its not optimised very well,
so its sluggish even on medium settings on powerful pc's

a ps2 one, using an adaptor.
Are there online capabilities?

yup, i have a p4 2.4ghz, with 768 ram, geforce 4, and it runs SLOW,
unplayable slow. It was bad before the first patch, but after the patch its
even worse, which is odd. Still its a great game for what i can play of it.
I recommend a ps2 like controller, the PC has many replicas, meaning you
dont need to get an adaptor.
Superb,
Some people are having problems with it being sluggish and it is not
dependant on pc spec. Mine was sluggish until i uninstalled the demo and
reinstalled the game, then it was ok.
Best pad would have to be a ps2 one with a usb adapter.

but if you have a ps2 already, the adaptor will be a cheaper option.
but then if you have a ps2 already, you should already own this game
anyway.
nope, they decided to leave that for the next version.
Where abouts in the UK could such an adapter be obtained. I'm in Teesside, anywhere near. I.e. Major chains or
Online stores.
Cheers
As for the game I'mhaving a few probs myself - it seems to be playing too
slow. At times it plays at full speed then it drops to be very
slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I had the demo it was fine. I uninstalled it before I installed the game.
I will prob try going back to basic graphic card drivers and then applying
the latest drivers to see if this helps.
BTW I have an athlon XP 1800+ with a 128mb Geforce 4

No intention !!! Don't have your knowledge :o)
So not the people you work for?
nope.
i`d recommend you run regclean before reinstalling. Worked ok for me and
now i can run the game with all on max. I`ve a gf3ti 64mb gfx and a p4
2.5ghz with gb ddr
Play it with a PS controller through one of the adaptors. They are not to
expensive and very cool!

Looks like the adaptor is the one to get.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I'm sure it will be hacked in some way to allow online play.

Did you have any problems installing the drivers? as my friend (running XP)
has this and it refused to install.
are you sure drivers are needed on xp. i just plugged mine in and it
registers as a 4 axis 16 button joystick.
Hmmmm...I'm going by what he told me, so I'll get him to try it that way...

iirc the drivers are needed for the rumble feature to work.
Ok, cheers Chris.
I have XP Pro. I installed the drivers first then plugged the adaptor in
and it was recognised correctly.
If i recall it took about 1min.
BTW a m8 of mine also purchased it. He has win98SE and it installed fine,
but he has a wee bit of trouble when configuring it for games. I did
suggest he get himself a copy of XP but his PC will prob not be upto it.
