There's been talk here of wishing that Blood2 atmosphere was as creepy
as Blood 1. Instead of waiting for the upcoming Blood2 add-on
missionpack, well, why not make your own levels/mods and try to do this?
It took a little effort to find all the info, but basically for those
who are interested in making levels, you need to get the lithtech
editor, source code (Shogo only available right now) and for tutorials
and stuff, you'll have to check out all the Shogo pages devoted to
lithtech editing. More people are editing Shogo, but it's using the
same engine so most of the techniques you'll learn there, you can apply
to Blood2. Hmm...maybe someone should start a Blood2 editing page.

Anyway, here are some of the links I've found to help you on your way.

The editor is available here at Monolith's Lithtech mod site. It's the
shogo editor, but can be applied to any game using the Lithtech engine
(ie. Blood 2). Also get the Shogo source code. Blood2 source code is
supposed to be released soon. There might be tools to edit other stuff,
like models, skins, here. I don't remember.
http://www.lithtech.com/mods/

Here's the forum at the same site to discuss editing. People are also
discussing Blood2 editing here.
http://www.lithtech.com/forum.asp

Planetshogo as a bunch of tutorials and tips on Lithtech editing. Check
out the "features" section of thier site.
http://planetshogo.com/

Lithtech Depot -- an editing site devoted to Lithtech editing.
Including Shogo, it' has a blood2 section.

Also try checking in on Jason Spencer's plan file on Quakefinger. In
some of the recent plan files, he talks about Lithtech editing.

Two general sites that cover Blood2 stuff is

Here's an excerpt taken from PlanetShogo talking about the Lithtech
Shogo editor and Blood2:

What about Blood 2?
If Blood 2 is more to your liking, not to worry. Brian Goble points
out in
.plan update that you're pretty much all set with these tools too:

The tools will work for both Shogo and Blood2 along with the
model editor. The B2 source will be out after the point release,

although I bet people will start making mods before then. We
are thinking about doing something special for the best mods
out there. Better start soon! We are going to be releasing a
lot of info in the next few weeks. I’m sure that everyone is
wondering what the teams are doing now that Shogo and
Blood2 are done.… So prepare for the flood of press releases
in the near future. Along with the games we are developing
we have some other goodies to talk about.

Also here is something I found on the Lithtech editing forum on how to
load up blood 2 custom levels. I haven't tried it out myself yet.

>>>>start of excerpt<<<<
Problem:
I to have not been able to play a B2 level. Using: "client –rez
C:\de_demo\Project1
+runworld worlds\TestWorld" stright from the helpfile I am only able to
get to the
menu as if I just ran client. This seems to be an error that hopefully
is just a tad
different than shogo.

Answer:
No - the +runworld option went away in the release versions of B2 (and
the most
recent builds of Shogo). Do +enableretaillevels 1 to get all levels from
the 'Worlds'
directory in the 'Load Custom Level' option. :)

Well, I hope that helps someone out there. It would be cool to see
someone making some nice Single player levels as well as maybe a CTF
multiplayer mod (once the Blood2 multiplayer patch comes out). Also a
converted level from Blood1 to Blood2 would be cool.

I found some more useful links Blood2 editing.

In addition to the editing forum I listed at lithtech(
http://www.lithtech.com/forum.asp ), you can go also to:
PlanetBlood forums. There is an Blood2 editing forum as well as general
Blood2 discussions.
http://forums.planetblood.com/

PlanetShogo has an shogo editing section in their forum also. You can gather
some shogo techniques to apply to Blood2.
http://forums.planetshogo.com/

Also I found a great Dedit tutorial by PlanetShogo. Dedit is the lithtech
editor (for Shogo and Blood2). It's covers Dedit from a Shogo editing
perspective, but it helps a lot in learning the level editor:
http://www.planetshogo.com/dl/dl.asp?planetshogo/tutorials/ps_le_docs.zip

Also another good source of info and help is the shogo-mod mailing list. I'm
on it and I found some good tips. To get on the list, here's an excerpt from
the readme.txt that came with d-edit. This explains how to join.

>>>>>>start of excerpt<<<<<<<<

* The shogo-mod mailing list, a mailing list for mod authors.
To subscribe, send e-mail to lis...@lists.lith.com with the
subject 'subscribe shogo-mod' (minus the quotes, of course).

This is not officially supported by Monolith; Monolith employees
do read the shogo-mod mailing list and will provide support there.
Please try to refrain from e-mailing them directly. :)

I also found an old article written by someone on the Blood2 team. He talks
about Blood2 editing, specifically about brush types and properties. Very
helpful in trying to discover the different brush types in Blood2 editing.

Also in addition to Planetblood and Caleb's Crypt (see previous message
below), I forgot to add the official Monolith site for general info on
blood2. They also have a forum section, but I didn't see any editing
sections. However, the main section gets a lot of messages. Check it out.
