Hey.

First of all, sorry about my bad english, second language.

Is there a way/trick to force a fullscreen application (ex.: a directx
game as bf1942) to stay maximized even if a background program
(ex.: gaim messenger) try to get focus?

Ex.: I play Battelfield 1942 and one of my friend send me a instant
message
on Gaim. Battefield 1942 will lost its focus, going to minimize in the
taskbar.

The same problem occured if i use another fullscreen application/games
with another program wich pop-up windows in the background.

And i need to keep the background process open (ex.:gaim).

Thanks

Sylvain

No problem there - with TweakUI, you can set up some parameters like "Don't
allow applications to steal focus"... that should do?!?

I'll try this app and give news about it ASAP.

Thanx.

Might do if M$ applications didn't keep disabling this setting anyway.

I thought the correct approach would be to change your settings in gaim to
say "don't popup window on message".

The TweakUI solution doesnt work.

Gaim is only an example. The program we use which does de same problem
as gaim doesnt get any settings about "dont popup new windows"

The real solution for us could be a third party software or a
windows/registry trick to stop this focus.

But i beggining to see that maybe its impossible to do.

Any other idea?

Thanks.
