Here's one I don't think I've seen on any walkthrough. If you're on the map
with the Flaming Fist headquarters, there's one spot where you can exit north
toward the Hall of Wonders. You wind up on the wrong side of the wall from the
Hall, though. However, there's one house you can enter, and inside is the dwarf
Fenten, who will pay you to hunt ankhegs. He tells you to go to the ankheg farm
and talk to Gerde. I haven't followed through on this yet. Does anyone know how
much he pays?
When I talked to him, the mouse coordinates were x 441, y 427, Area AR0619

I don't know excactly how much, but it is less than the smith in Beregost
pays.

He offers 250gp which is only half the price you can get in Beregost
but he will buy all you can carry to him :-)

Heh, stash the rest in the barrel a couple of houses away from the
weaponsmith, and take them to him one at a time. I have 18 more to sell! ;)

IIRC, these items "go bad" after a certain number of days and no one will buy
them. I stashed one while getting enough gp to have it made into armor, and
after it went bad, no one in the game would ever buy another one, fresh or not.
In that game, I hadn't found Fenten yet, so I'm not sure if the same applies to
him.

No need to do that just drop them on the ground before talking to the
smithy.

But they still take time to collect - a carrying problem not a shortage
of Ankhegs - and once Taerom agrees to make armour he won't buy any more
:-(

You don't have to wait that long. Throw everything on the ground next to the
smith in Beregost, put one in inventory, talk to him, sell, repeat one ankheg
at a time. IMO, unless you need 2 armor, its best not to ask him to make one
as you can potentially make 500 gp a pop unlimited. if you ask him to make,
then he will stop buying from you. I believe you can find an ankheg armor
somewhere in the fields in Nashkel.
