I wanted a fighter who used scimatars, so I made him specialized with large
swords. When I bought a scimatar at the beginning of the game and equipped him
with it, his thaco was only 20. That is with +2 to hit from strength and +1
for specialization. I then bought a long sword and equipped him with it and
his thaco was 17, where it should have been with the scimatar as well. The
game was treating it as if I were unproficient with the scimatar. I have
TOTSC, so why dont scimatars count as large swords.

The original TOSC accidentally had the normal scimitar operating with a
small sword proficiency. I think that it should be corrected in the patch.
