Now the character I am using now (another Fighter) has 18/00 strength,
and 17 dexterity (he kicks ass in combat...rapidly moved up to level
4)...but his constituion isn't much better (12).....he now has 19 hit
pints, while the other NPC's with 16-17 Constitution are either in
their high 20's or low 30's
I got tired of hitting that "Reroll" button when generating my
Fighter...never could get the "magic three"; high strength, dexterity
and constitution...always got two of the three in some combination,
but never all three..when 18/00 strength and 17 dexterity popped up, I
took a chance on him (who doesn't like 18/00 strength?)....luckily, he
has a good AC (-1, -2 with shield) and keeps surviving the battles..
Any of your characters start with great attributes? I got tired of
hitting that "Reroll" button for hours.........
When you create a fighter, there is little use for high Wisdom or
Intelligence, so you can safely take points from those two and give to
the other attributes.
But a character with STR 18/00 is however very rare and should always be
considered, no matter how low the sum of attributes is.

I actually only took about 6 minutes hitting reroll

No joke--I was creating my Paladin using the Multi-Player part of BG and rolled
the following attributes (after adjusting them with the +/- keys--
18/00 Strength
18 Dexterity
18 Constitution
11 Wisdom
14 Intelligence
18 Charisma
Needless to say, I kept them damn rolls. =D. However, there's a website that
posts the top statistic scores that players have rolled. The top honors go to
some guy that got a total of 103 points (!!!!). If you add mine up, it only
comes to a measly 97. =D
And before anyone harps on me for picking a do-gooder Paladin, well.....I read
that you can get a Holy Avenger in BG2 and I plan on being able to wield that
wicked ass thing with my MAIN character that I'm gonna import into the game.
=D

That's right. Sorry for the typo. I had my stats written on a piece of paper
without labels as to what they were. I guess I put them in the wrong order.
Man.....I need to brush up on my AD&D. =D I haven't played P&P in ages. =D
Needless to say, I also kept the PC. I was rolling a 箴lven M/C at the time.
I would have to say that yours was a greater feat though because of the
exceptional strength.

Damn. Nice stats. =D

I would hope you kept him/her. =D But you never know--if your character was
part Fighter class, he/she MIGHT have had 18/100 strength. =D BTW--I recently
rolled up a Fighter/Mage Half-Elf with the following stats--
18/73 Strength
17 Dexterity
18 Constitution
16 Wisdom
18 Intelligence
16 Charisma
Yea yea...why not pump the Dex up to 18, right? =D Well, like i said in
another post, I'm trying to create a new balanced party. Granted, this IS a
power character, he'll also be my leader, and a leader has to be strong, right?
=D
RCV: He could be a little less wise though, having a 15 Wisdom
and 18 dex would seem to be more "realistic" for a mage, after
all... :)
