Well, I finally debugged this damm romance and here are my final
thoughts:

I am a NE sorceror who prefers a rep around 7-9. When the rep is this
low, Jaheira (when talking to Terminsel) is unsure if she made the
right choice and she does not get the pin.

The reputation affecting Jaheira receiving the pin is garbage,
complete garbage. Here is why:

The Harper's moral compass is not affected by outside influence. It is
a calling that you are born with. There is no membership per se, just
recognition of you own independent actions by other like minded souls.
Jaheira proceeds as she sees fit, not really based on what others
think. So she kills many harpers. Terminsel appears saying that
Jaheira actions will be judged by how she perceives them (totally in
line with Harper philosophy). Her own is perception of what has
transpired is solely based on how society perceives the party
(reputation points).

In other words, Terminsel appeared when rep was 9 and Jaheira said she
wasn't sure if she did the right thing. Terminsel said that her
doubts will be her punishment for her actions, and he left.

I reloaded, went to a temple, upped my rep to 13, and made Terminsel
appear. This time, when my party is popular rather than average,
Jaheira said she had no doubt that she was in the right and would do
the same if given the chance. Terminsel said then that the matter is
settled, the matter will be judged by how she perceived it, and gave
her the harper pin.

Very disappointing, considering that she is a neutral. She is not in
char for her alignment. A true neutral would only be a lifelong
harper if the Zhents were too powerful. At any rate, Harpers wouldn't
care about reputation as their morality gets them into all sorts of
interesting situations.

I quite agree with everything you've said. Jaheira is really "neutral
good". Whenever she worries about being with a Bhaalspawn she always talks
about how being with you serves the "greater good". Unless "good" is a
Druid keyword for "balance", this view is non-sensical. She is far more NG
than N or (heaven forbid!) NE. She should be much more "balanced" than she
is.

Wonderful! Another cynic, just like me! Need I point to the fact of Nazi
soldiers during WWII wore beltbuckles with the inscription "Gott mit uns"
German for "God with us" proving the old fact that God is on the strongest
side...
Pearl harbor=Awful thing, horrible Japanese butchers... Burning children in
Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the A-Bomb=Hooray we won the war!
Show the Native Americans the Statue of Liberty and have them Pledge
allegiance to the flag at school every morning!

The blitz over London=Horrible unprovoked attack, the bombing of
Berlin=Hooray we won the war?
Oh wait, I guess there was a difference...

Hello Mr. Godwin. Long time no see, especially not in this group.
