thnx,
Sorrow
or your trying to write priest scrolls into your spellbook (there are several
priest scrolls in the game which mages can't use)
check your manual for a spell listing and max spells for intelligence...
It's probably an INT issue. It prevents you from writing a certain number
per level. From what I've seen in the game, however, 14 spells per level is
MORE than enough. Specifically because not all spells were implemented.
If you REALLY have to scribe another spell, I'd recommend temporarily
raising your INT with a potion, and then trying to scribe it.
Mages have maximum spells / level (spell levels). A mage with 18
intelligence has a 16 barrier. If the intelligence is less, the less spells
/ level you are able to write. If it is the character you created go get
the tome that raises intelligence a single point. With a intelligence of 19
there is no limit on spells / level.

what? i've seen nary a one...each and every magical scroll i've run across
was either cursed, a protection scroll or a mage scroll. where have you found
priest scrolls?
-johnny
Priests can't scribe scrolls only use them. All the protection scrolls
you mentioned ARE priest scrolls. Priests automatically get all their
spells from their God.

in TOSC. One-off spells for priests not reaching the required level I
guess.
