RCV: Get greedy, Sir, sell em for a big GP each! Hoowhah... :)

RCV: They don't do anything, they are just a clue as to how the ore was
being ruined - nothing important to play of the
game. Rich

with them??

I'm still stuck in Chapter 2, if that means anything.. do they (the potions)

help you solve the Mines quest? I've been through the mines, but I'm not
sure if I have really found out the underlying cause...

As far as I understand, these potions are a part of the quest (this is the
liquid used to "poison" the ore), but there is nothing you can do with it.
If you want to play on the safe side, store it in a barrel or a chest in one
of the towns, in case you need it in the future.

The liquids maybe connected to the mines, but they aren't directly the
cause of it all. You've not been through all the mines as you would have
found the cause. Keep exploring and going deeper. You'll know when you
find the cause (you don't need to go back out the same entrance either)

Hope this helps,

Spoiler below...

They are cursed, if you drink them bad things will happen to you...Be
wary of of anything "mysterious".

Actually, I think they just poison you - they are, after all, designed to
corrode iron.

As I recall if you have the evil dudes xar & monty in your party, they have been
hired to clear the mines, so before going into the mines you chat with the mayor
of Nashkell about it, and after clearing the mines and offing the boss you should
keep one mysterious liquid and one rotten ore and see the mayor again again...

If you don't have the evil dudes, or let Dynahir & Kahlid kill them off before
clearing the mines I don't know if there is any point to keeping the potion or
ore, anyone know?

Are you saying an evil party presenting the mysterious liquid + rotten
ore to the Mayor will get different rewards, as opposed to a good party
presenting Melahey's symbol to the Mayor?

My good party got 1000xp, 900gp, Rep+1. What did your evil party get?

At any rate, I *thought* it's Melahey's symbol (and letters perhaps)
that convinced the Mayor about the mines problem solved, not the
mysterious vial and rotten ore.
