Hello everyone -

I'm a newcomer to the board, having been invited here by a more
newsgroup-savvy friend, and I hope you'll forgive me for indulging in
some shameless self-promotion.

I, and a friend, host a small collection of our custom BG2-format soundsets:

http://www.merrymeet.com/voxpopuli

We currently have eleven soundsets available, including Theresa, the
Stoic Paladin; Callista, the Femme Fatale; and Kurtz, the Ruthless Merc
(our most popular download!).

These sets are all in BG2 format and are easily adaptable to BG1 format
with some judicious renaming of files.

My partner and I are considering the prospect of getting all of these
caught up to IWD format, as well (as that format requires some
additional sound files). I see that a lot of you are playing IWD2. If
any of you are interested in seeing IWD-format soundsets added to our
list, I encourage you to drop an email. We're trying to guage demand at
this point.

Thanks for your consideration! I hope you find something you like, and
we're always open to feedback, suggestions and requests.

- Mercy

This is a nice way of saying "Jason insisted that I post this here."

I'm also trying to convince her to employ some careful compression to make
the DLs a little more manageable for people, with the same ogg
compression/auto inflation we used for Kelsey.

Oh, the "friend" is you, Jason?

Mercy, you ought to have name-dropped more shamelessly! For many of
us, the association with the Compton name will provide increased trust
in the quality of the work. ;-)

Sigh...you see, the problem is this: My mom raised me to believe that
name-dropping is impolite. :)

Go check out the site anyway. Pleeeeeze. There are sample files up. You
don't have to commit to anything. I swear!
