I was reading on BgChronicles that anyone with a mage that has that nice little
3 in wisdom should consider a new character... the chance of a Wish Spell being
casted correctly depends on your wisdom, so i guess when you have low wisdom
you word it incorrectly so instead of wishing a friend to be alive, you will
wish that you could see your friend again and you ll get to stare at his dead
body or something.. heh

Hehe, at least that means BG2 will have wish spells in it. Maybe we
could wish for more wisdom? Tip for the day - take a gnomish
cleric/illusionist along (I mentioned this in another post as well)
for good wisdom and intelligence (20 in each if you read all BG tomes)
and the chance to get 19 charisma, making him perfect for talking to
NPC's, and also for using wish spells. P.s. - any chance bgchronicles
is saying if the wish spell can be learned, or if it is only a one off
scroll (a la Torment, without cheating)?

Unfortunatly, they haven't said anything to this degree. But since there are
both a Limited Wish and a Wish spell in DnD (IIRC), and since the XP cap is
2,900,000 (thus enabling a maxed out Mage to reach level 17and able to cast
level 8 spells), I'm assuming that we'll be able to scribe Limited Wish in our
spellbooks (since I can't recall what level Limited Wish is, and since there is
a Wish spell that is greater that it, and deducting that Limited Wish has to be
at the most a level 8 spell to have one greater than it.....make any sense? =).
But like the spell description says for Limited Wish, the wish is either only
partial or for a limited time. So we might be able to Wish for more Wisdom,
but it'll either only last for a limited time......or some dialoug window will
pop up saying something like "Confucious say--He who go to bed with itchy butt,
wake up with stinky pinky". =D

Smooth like Reggie Miller in an airborne freeze-frame......
....Funky like the Kung-Fu that can put you to shame. =D

Can't argue with philosophy, can we ;-). No, the approach I had in
mind was a non-writeable scroll, in effect a one shot scroll for
wishing. And if PS:T is anything to go by, at higher levels we should
be able to wish for very powerful items and statistic changes
(permanent possibly). I don;t know if a full Wish spell is level 9 or
8, but I'm making a lot of assumption based on Torment. I seem to
remember bgchronicles (I think) saying that there will be at least
15-20 level 8 and 9 spells, so maybe a few wishes will make their way
in there (and a Power Word:Kill, please ;-)).
