Has anyone had any trouble keeping Kagain in your party? I started an
evil-alignment game & picked up Kagain early on, but now (in middle of Chapt
3) he wants to leave. He says something about "finding the caravan
himself". Does anyone know how to keep him around?

Kagain joined you to find his lost caravan. You haven't found it yet and
he's getting impatient. But here's the cure: simply go to the screen
immeditely north of Beregost, most likely the screen from which you first
entered Beregost. There you'll find the missing caravan.

RCV: When you get Kagain, immediately leave Beregost to the
North, to the area right north of it. As soon as you enter the
area, he will give up on the Caravan and stay with the party
ever after....

RCV: Not exactly, it just means he has given up looking for
it. You don't actually find the caravan he is looking for
[although there is one there, it isn't the one he wants...]
You don't need to find anything to keep Kagain, just going to
the map is enough, he gives up, and that's the end of that
story... :)

There's a wrecked caravan in the map north of Beregost, in the south part of
the map, fairly centrally positioned. I think this is the one Kagain wants
to visit, so go there directly after getting him in your party. He mumbles
something and then decides to stay with you forever.

Phil (who's far too nice to use evil characters :-))

Question: On the map north of Beregost, Kagian said something to this
effect - he was sick of looking for the caravan and not to worry about it
any more. Does this mean I found it?

Cheers

Just out of curiosity, what would happen if you picked up Kagain before
fully exploring that area?

RCV: No difference. Simply arriving on the map edge is enough
to trigger his staying, you don't need to do anything else.
