How did you kill the demon knight in Durlags Tower?

I need help to kill the Demon knight in Durlags tower!
If I use the mirror i release some bad "friends" but is that the way to
do it?
Or do any have a good solution!

Use the ever popular summon monster/animate dead spells to hold the bad guy
in place. Then use liberal amount of missile fire to take him down. Using
the mirror will get more bad guys involved and you may not want that.

This took me a few tries to do, because I could kill him, however one or
two of my guys would die... It takes patients
Basically, cast haste on everyone, if he shoots a fireball or two, you
should be able to get away with minimal damage, also I'd beef up people
with armor spells if possible. After that, I just pelted him with
magical Arrows (arrows +1, or +2, of biting, flame, and cold.) as well
as firing him with magic missles, and anything else...
I found that after he fires a fireball at you, he'll come up to attack
someone with his sword, with haste, you can run away. But luckily for
me, he got stuck on the stairs, and by the time he fixed himself.. He
died..
Wait until you fight Saverok (unless you have already). He's about 10
times worse (or so it seems..) Im still attempting that one.

crap. I have a whole party to handle smarts and good looks ;-). I used boots
of speed, haste spell, potion of heroism, cloud giant strength potion, had
Yeslick chant, Dynahir(sp?) and Imoen using magic missile, Coran shooting
arrows of piercing and had Khalid picking his nose. Took my PC fighter down
in his face and let everyone let it all fly so to speak. I got hit once and
Demonknight got dead. Easy enough.
It's amazing how well you do the second time around knowing what you are
getting in to. My first time through ToTSC it took me 2 days just to figure
out this meanie :)

But what is the dagger of soultaking for? Do I need it to finish the tower?
