Kagain quest help

where the im suppose to find the caravans..(coming from beregost)..i get
this message from kagain telling me..that he will never find the caravan
from the rest of the caravans my party past..and then says..lets just do
whatever i want to do..(well something like that)..i had
ajantis,viconia,imoen, and myself
do i have to have certain npcs on my group or do i have to do the quest on a
certain chapter..
ive been told he will leave my party after a certain amout of time..but
..hes been on a good 3 weeks(BG days)and even didnt do his quest yet..but

ohh yes..if i dualclass my ranger to a cleric and surpass my ranger in
levels..can i use a sword or bow..and yet cast spells when i have these
weapons equiped?..i know multiclass chars cant but how bout dual class
will welcome any help..thanks

You can't finish his quest, not possible. However he will stick around
anyway, so why worry 8>.

iirc you can't equip those weapons at all if one of your classes is
cleric, whether you are dual, multi, or whatever. If you dual to druid
you can use (at least) scimitars.

The weapon ethos of priests will be followed. So a ranger/cleric can
only use sling, blunt or spiked weapons (same weapons as a cleric). You
can´t even equip other weapons.
And if you start as a cleric and then duals to a ranger, this will apply
to the time the character is advancing as a ranger as well.
You can always cast spells with any type of cleric.

is a ranger without the classic bow..tehehehe(well acually a lot of things
but prefer him with bow)
and im guessing i wont be getting the offer of 30 gold per bandit scalp from
Kagain..dwarfs...sheech..whats with there love of gold...
