hi all,
I've read somewhere on the net that you can make Viconia change her
alignment to neutral. There was written that you shouldnt sleep with her
for the second time, saying that the time isn't right, then be nice to
her and after the fight with Yaga Shura (ToB) you should tell her
something like all the killing is wrong etc.
When she wanted to sleep with me for the second time, I told her that
the time was not right, but in the next dialog, I had only 2
choices: - I could sleep with her again (which I did), or I could dump
her (which sounded like it would end our romance ;)
So, has anyone ever gotten Viconia to change her alignment ?
Will high reputation affect our romance ? She shouldn't be able to leave
my party now - she swore to serve me (upon exiting Underdark).

Yes. Choose your dialogue choices carefully.

No.

Lovely attitude. That ought to kill the romance right there. But, in
point of fact, no NPC will leave in ToB whatever happens to your
Reputation.

Looks like I've missed the chance to change her as well,

Another problem I had with the Vic romance was during the underdark after I had
the real eggs and messed up the ceremony I decided to fight my way out of the
city. I think one of the drow I killed was some sort of handmaiden of lolth
(the one who gives the slimes quest probably) and after she was killed but
while I was still fighting other drow Vic starts a conversation about being
scared while the tentacles were scarring her brain (or something similar) and I
had to reply something about protecting her if Lolth sent anyone else after
her.

I'd already slept with her at that point and had a speech about being scared
lolth was sending someone for her but nothing ever came of that and I never got
the end of romance XP. Bodhi vamped her so I'd clearly made it to a certain
point in the romance but I'm playing without Shadowkeeper so I don't know
where.

It's a while back now as I've just wrapped up Sendai but it looks like I messed
it up somehow.

Just one question - will I be able to change her alignment now that I've
slept with her for the second time ? She didnt complain in the
morning ;)

Im a lawful good Undeadhunter - the whole romance with a neutral evil
character is kinda weird ;)

I didn't install ToB yet - I just got out of Underdark and now Im going
to do all the major quests before facing Bodhi.
I mentioned ToB in the Subject line just to imply that I know (or at
leats Ive heard) that I wont be able to change her alignment untill ToB.

Viconia/ToB is a separate romance from Viconia/SoA--a sequel, as it
were. The only way the SoA romance affects the ToB romance is to
determine whether it exists. As long as you /have/ a romance in ToB,
everything that determines whether Viconia changes will take place
there.

However, unless your Charisma is high enough to hold her (since you're a
paladin, it almost certainly is), she may still leave at Reputation 19
or 20.

I slept with her 2 times and we just "held hands" the third time.
After some handmaiden of Lolth teleported in and attacked us along with
her daemon, the only way I could keep Viconia in my party was to "split
up" with her (end our romance).
Since I have a lot more quests to do in BG2, I was wondering If I can
start a new romance with Jaheira now, though she has been quiet lately ;)

This is the last of the Viconia romance dialogues in BG2 SoA areas:
it ALWAYS works this way. Don't worry, though - as long as she stayed in
your party, she'll be still interested in you (although she's trying to
convince herself that she shouldn't be), and the romance will start
again in ToB.

Not possible. If at any time Jaheira or Aerie has been in your
party after you've been sleeping with Viconia, then neither will be
interested in you - ever again. Besides, although it may appear that
way, the Viccy romance *isn't over yet*.

Jonathan.

I installed ToB before going to Suldanessellar (hit the XP cap). I just
killed the Bhalspawn in Saradush and Im about to leave the city and go
for Watcher's Keep, and Im wondering when should the Viconia romance
start again.
I had a romance talk with Jaheira right after we entered the tavern
in Saradush, but Viconia remains silent - except for scaring Jan with
poisoned spiders crawling over his shoulders ;)

It really *did* sound like a romance talk with Jaheira, and I didnt want
to dump her because I wasnt sure what happened to the Viconia romance.
Wasnt the Viconia romance supposed to continue right after I installed
ToB ?

Oops.

There's a known bug where the game checks to see if you were
well-progressed in Jaheira's quest instead of whether you were committed
in her romance. I'd suggest you reload your SoA final save, install the
Baldurdash fix for that problem ( http://members.rogers.com/mrkevvy/ )
and go through the final battle again.

isn't there any other way I could start the Viconia romance in ToB ?
like editing some variables etc...
I'm really in no mood to go through Suldanessellar, The 9 hells,
Saradush and the Watcher's Keep again...

You could always load up ShadowKeeper
and set the ViconiaRomance variable to
2...

just to make sure, did you mean VICONIAROMANCE (which is 3573375 now) or
did you mean VICONIAROMANCEACTIVE (which is 3) ?
thanx

btw, why do you wrap your lines to 40 characters ? it makes the quotes a
lot harder to read

searched google for a while, then changed JAHEIRAROMANCEACTIVE from 2 to
3 and VICONIAROMANCEACTIVE from 3 to 2. As soon as I got out of a
dungeon, Viconia started talking and we got together again ;)
