kill guy near xvart village?

Is there any reason not to kill the guy near the xvart village (west of
nashkell) who offers to sell you a scroll of protection from magic, a potion
of healing or a scroll of protection from pertrification.

Does he come into the game later to sell you something, or can I kill him
and get all his stuff? Please don't answer with spoilers if you can avoid
it.

He is lying in his offering.

He cheats you with his cursed scrolls and he is not necessary later
on. Your choice. But he is dangerous if you are below Lv. 3.
