Bandit scalps

Does anybody know where can I sell the scalps from bandit encounters?

At one stage in the game, an officer called Vai talks to you in a tavern in
Nashkell (Wizards something-Tavern). She tells you that she'd pay 50 gp per
scalp....She talked to me when I was in chapter 3, but I've visited the
tavern earlier on as well and nobody talked to me then....so there seems to
be a trigger or something...?

The trigger is a conversation you have with a small girl I think in
Beregost. You have to have done the mines before.
