I'm noticing an odd trend. Out of the first three to respond(including
myself), we've ALL come up CG F/R. What are the odds of that? I wonder if it
has something to do with the script.

Neutral Good Elf Mage/Bard.

Hmm. I usually play a human thief/mage- no questions about thieving, though.
Started back in the misty past as CG, now regularly play as NG (but that's
'cos of the extra discount, like).
Had no choice as to race when I recently started as an F/M/T, so Half-Elf
now.
Would have liked to play a Bard, but am not stupid.

It's quite amusing.

No...but it seems to be written with D&D 3e in mind. (Except for the
person who said a Chaotic Paladin--but even they exist, they're just a
prestige class.)

I'm a Chaotic Good Elf Bard Ranger, apparently. I can deal with that.

Actually it's not all that far from a fighter/mage/thief when you think

You're telling me - I ended up as a Chaotic Evil (well, I'll give them that
one) Human (that's the nicest thing anyone's said to me all day ;-))
Fighter. Fighter?!?! With my muscles? I get a hernia if I so much as pick
up an apple corer, never mind swing my Impaler at the nearest evil wench.

And all this because I picked Black as my favourite colour. Or perhaps
because I picked the replies which I felt I'd most like to do, not
necessarily the ones which would apply to me in real life (i.e. IRL I will
associate with lawyers, but let's be honest folks, I've *met* some lawyers
who would make you willingly slap yourself around the head with a wet fish
until you died - hence I'd rather associate with the merry bunch of fellows
who inhabit my local pub ;-)). And some of the questions were a bit dumb,
to say the least; favourite clothes included "smart business attire", "full
plate mail" (WTF? It's like being the Medieval one out of the Village
People), or "rough work clothes". Wher the blazes is "smart casual
contemporary elegance", that's what I want to know?

--
Phil, who's probably taking this all a bit seriously. Could be worse, I
guess; I could have been a Bard *shudder*

"Why, Nordom, are you trying to court me?"
"It was not my intention to initiate legal action against you."

Thanks, Paul, for an interesting thread.
Has anyone any ideas why elf or ranger or both came up so often? I'd be
interested to know what this says about the RPG gaming community. <g>
NG elf ranger/mage.

I think it mostly says that the test is skewed to give 85% of the
participants a "ranger" response.

Actually the dwarven bit was funny, it was the Lawful Neutral part I
was surprised by. I usually gravitate towards Paladins in games. I
decided to analyze the Lawful Neutral and figured that as a stay at
home mom with 2 kids at home and one in 2nd grade, my word is LAW and
I don't as much care about being fair or good :D

I'll take that axe please :) Heads are gonna roll today.

Indeed. Amusing little test.

Neutral Good Elf Bard Ranger replying as me.
Neutral Good Half-Elf Ranger Cleric replying as if transported to a D&D world.

Didn't get any magic-user attibutions, but otherwise not bad for the types I
like to play.

That would depend entirely upon your answer to the "what sort of clothes do
you like to wear" question, I guess ;-). Either that, or selecting "service
the torture instruments" when preparing to invite friends over for a dinner
party.

I don't get it - why is it that picking black as my favourite colour has got
me pegged as being worse than Satan? Methinks it's time to hack that site
and include pink as a colour choice, to get me in with the tree huggers and
conscientious objectors brigade ;-).

Well, I'm to tall to be a Dwarf/Halfling/Gnome, so that leaves Elf, Half-Elf
or Half-Orc. Elves are out, I couldn't stand his music (what, you said
Elv*e*s? Sorry, my mistake). Half-Elf revolves around some particularly
unappealing questions of sex, and Half-Orc even more so. Hmm, perhaps
Tiefling is more appropriate for me - what with my short fuse, if I had a
tail it would wiggle like Annah standing in a room full of Fall-From-Grace's
;-).

Hmm... I'm supposedly a Neutral Evil Elf Mage Thief, Follower Of
Velsharoon. Oddly enough, that's the main character-type that BG2 lacks.

I wasn't too surprised I came up as a Neutral Good Paladin of Lathandar,
with just a one point difference from being a Fighter. I almost always
play a Fighter in any game; not because I don't like mages, but because
if I actually had the physical strength to go and swing
swords/axes/maces/etc. around all day, I'd sure as heck take advantage
of it.

(I would have thought I'd be a little closer to Chaotic Good though, but
ahh well)
