BGII Help: Windspear Hills (SPOILER)

I'm trying to get to the Windspear Hills, but it doesn't show up on my
map. I've got the acorns and talked with the Dryad's from Irenicus'
dungeon. I go to the the city gate, and leave, but it doesn't show up
on my map. Any idea why this is and how I can fix it? Thanks in
advance.

Have you talked to Lord Jierdan or some such in the Copper Coronet?

thank u for that ,i hve the same prob ,but at moment trying to sort out the
wraiths to get the rod to kill the beholder!!

The Lich in the sewers does not possess any part of the rod - it is part of
another quest, which involves restoring the body of some lich named Kangaxx.

www.gamebanshee.com/baldursgateii/. To find out how to retrieve the rod,
proceed further down the hallway past the sarcophagus, and enter the
depths...
