Ouch! That's one slow system (at last! Someone with a slower
computer than me!). Hmm, I'd guess that turning everything off that
you can (close all other programs etc, turn all game options down to
minimum, turn off weather/sounds etc) would gain you a bit. I
wouldn't fiddle with the BLT options, since they're only supposed to
correct graphical errors, not speed the game up. You could try to
adjust the cache size on your hard drive, so reloading times will be a
bit faster (and if you have the hard drive space, a bigger install
option, or copying files over to your hard drive manually, may also
speed things up). I'm not sure what effect adjusting AI rates will
have, so all you can do there is experiment. After fiddling around
with the game itself, I'm always very reluctant to start messing about
with the computer itself, since mine's walking on a tightrope between
crashing on the one hand and being thrown out the window by me on the
other ;-). HTH.
