Silke....let live or kill

Is Silke important to be alive? She is easy to kill, gives around 900 xp, a
quarter staff +1, an invulnarability potion and 400 gold. She says she is
waiting for someone when you talk to her

When you first see her she's waiting for someone, go south and west around the
building, garrick is standing there.. go talk to him, he'll say his mistress
has an errand or something for you, take the offer, he'll take you to silke
who will now talk to you and say she'll be attacked by soe thugs, next thing
they wander onto the screen and are obviously innocent and being set up, now
refuse to attack them and silke will attack you, kill her, collect exp and
loot and the gratitude of the people you left unkilled.

Damn, I had to kill Garrick because he was blocking the entrance of the
burning wizard, and I had to get inside to return the boots to that dwarf.
(I first went to do some other quests, but every time I went back, Garrick
was still blocking the entrance, almost more annoying then Noober :)

How?

I have my self (ranger), Imoen, and the couple (forgot their names) from the
FA Inn, and she still kicks my butt :-(

First of all, talk to Garrick first, he is an availble NPC, a bard.

To kill Silke, or any other low ranking mage, use DARTS. Darts have attack
speed 2 and attack 3+ times per round. As long as atleast one point is done
to the mage before their spell is compelted, the spell will fail. Hit her
with an avalanch of darts and arrows.

They're boots of stealth, with +35% in stealth. I had Imoen wear them until
she was 65% stealth, then gave it back.

Same thing happened to me. I thought it was a bug, and had
to kill him off. Quite opposite to my main char's alignment
(paladin), but then again, no common bum should keep a
paladin from going where he pleases! ;)

well what i did was kind of sneaky but works out great...i killed the guys she
wanted me to kill...got theer stuff and then killed silki. my reputation did
not change so i was all set .

No, don't keep the boots, return them, get the exp. and the money, then kill
the guy, get more exp. money and the boots! And your rep doesn't drop one
point!! So it's best to return 'em :)

Yeah, it is a bug, cause on their support page (interplay), there's a list
what the upcoming beta patch fixes, and garrick blocking the way is one of
them.
