If you are really interested in the Forgotten Realms gods, there are three
books you might want to take a look at. First, _Faiths and Avatars_ deals
with the human pantheon. _Demihuman Deities_ deals with elven, drow, dwarf,
gnome, and halfling deities. And any other demihuman race I've forgotten :-)
Lastly, _Powers and Pantheons_ has info on deities in such realms as Maztica
as well as many of the demigods of the Realms.

These books all contain info not only on the god, but on the heirarchies and
functions of their priesthoods, various myths and legends relating to the
gods, special holy days, and bits and pieces of Realms historical
information. All of these books have lots of pages and the print is tiny so
there is a lot of stuff crammed into them.

All of these are 2nd edition AD&D publications, but they are all still in
print and very useful. If you don't end up wanting quite so much info, the
3rd edition D&D campaign book coming out in May of this year will have some
info on the 40 most popular Realms deities.
