BG2 Keldorn, where the hell is he

i havent really got that far into the game ( chaptrer 3 i think ) but i was
reading the manual and i really seriously need a paladin in my group and i
thought i might try to get keldorn the paladin.
anyone know where he is? or do you have to complete a quest to get him?
my team is minsc, jaheira, me ( sorcerer ), airie, yoshimo and boo but i
really need another strong fighter. is keldorn the best choice to go with?
and where can i find him

Chapter 3 is fine for meeting Keldorn.
Go to the temple district, look out for things to do. You'll meet him rather
quickly after getting the quest.
