Why is my lead character eglible for a "Remove Curse" spell?

Whenever I visit a temple, my main character is able to purchase
the "remove curse" spell, while the five other characters are not.

He is not wielding any cursed equipment. Also, he keeps being
eglible for the spell even after I've purchased it.

I suspect it's related to the plot of the "game" (I'm well aware
that he is not a normal person), but does anyone have info on
this issue?

Padron the obvious, but... do the other five have an empty slot
in their respective inventories?

It's available even when you're just carrying a cursed item. It doesn't have
to be equipped and, IIRC, it doesn't have to be identified yet. So I'd say
your PC is carrying a cursed item, whether you know it or not.

RCV: THe curse will show up if you have any cursed equipment in
inventory as well, not just stuff that is active, ie in your
hands. For example, if you are carrying Brage's sword, or the
Girdle of femininity/Masculinity, you will show as cursed, even
if you aren't wearing/using the item.
And since you aren't really cursed, paying for the spell
accomplishes nothing/

There are two possible reasons. One, he could have a cursed item in his
backpack. Two, he could be subject to a spell such as Aid, or be
wielding/wearing an item that changes the character's status - such as the
Spider's Bane.

he is not buying the scroll of the spell, he is paying the temple to put the
spell on him.

It has nothing to do with that. You don't get the spell as a scroll, it
is casted on the character that buys it.
Check again if your character has a cursed item. There are cursed items
that are NOT weapons. Like the Claw of Kazgorath.

I tend to haul around all kinds of silly stuff, even cursed
items, so that's the reason.

Thanks to you and the others for the help!
