Does anyone know where I can find Joseph, owner of the Greenstone Ring from
Naskell Mines - I'm playing for the third time now, and I still haven't
found the ring's owner. I would guess there'll be an XP award for returning
it, but I can't find him. The first time I carried it with me for months,
all the way to Baldur's Gate and beyond, tying up an inventory slot. The
second time I carried it for a while then gave up and stashed it in a
barrel, but kept looking for Joseph everywhere I went with no joy. 3rd time
I just sold the damn thing. However I still think there must be a Joseph
somewhere. It'll probably turn out he's a kobold or a Xvart, and I've
killed him without realising. If anyone knows, please post the answer.

Paul.

Joseph is dead. You'll have to take the ring to his wife she is in Nashkel
in a house witch is locked. Open it up
and you'll find his wife. The house is located near the bridge where Edwin
is (i think). You'll get a ring of protection for returning the greenstone
ring if i remember correctly. I don't remember what is the amount of XP
you'll get.

Joeseph is indeed dead, but you didn't kill him - you got the ring from his
body on the third floor of the Nashkel mines. It's not a huge xp reward,
but it is still nice if you complete that subquest - there's a woman in one
of the houses near the west side of the screen (and I think S. of the river
running through that area, but I may be wrong). She is Joeseph's wife. You
may even actually have to pick or force the door to get inside, but she's
there, and she'd like that ring.

You already did - you picked it up from his corpse.

However, his widow, in a locked house in Nashkel, would appreciate you
returning it to her.
