I got the ring from Joseph in the mines- but when I try to give it to
his wife, she says to leave her alone, she is mourning the loss of her
husband. What should I do?

Thanks!
This is not the Dream. This is what I do on weekends to have fun.

The Dream involves two sets of identical twins, three pounds of
chilled fresh raspberries, four pounds of melted dark chocolate,
whipped cream, satin sheets, Chambord, and a blender.

From what I read this has happened quite a bit, sell it for 5 gp. I
don't know if anyone else might have gotten this to happen but I found
her in the locked house along the stream, towards the bottom of the
map. I had Imoen pick the lock and then took my whole party in.
Engaged her in conversation, had her describe her husband and his green
stone wedding ring. Then informed her that he was dead and she takes
the ring. Has anyone else had this happen? Just curious is all.

I visited Joseph's wife before going to the Nashkel Mines. She asked if we
would find out about him and tell her. When I went back with the greenstone
ring, telling her that Joseph was dead, she wanted me to leave right away as
she had to mourn her husband.

I think her reaction may vary a little, my wonderful charming female fighter
thief (should check out the portratit i made) had the option of keeping the ring
as bounty or giving it to her, I give it to her for the rep points and exp
because I'm nice, but then again now my pick pocket abilities higher i may go
back and retrieve it for a laugh.

Speaking of high thieving abilities...

My half-elf bard with bracers of dexterity used to have a pick pockets
skill of 100, and now suddenly when I really needed her to pickpocket
someone again, she never succeeded. Checking her stats, I saw that she
now had an ability of 35! Whoah. What has happened?

Don't tell me there's a stupid bug when achieving a new level that
makes it roll over at 100 for bards (where you can't assign skills) and
start at 0 again?

Any other explanations? It sure ruins things for me, cause this is my
main character, and the main reason I chose a half-elf bard was because
of exceptionally high lore and pickpocketing abilities.

Nope. And she casts spells just fine. It's just here pickpocketing
skills that has dropped from 100 to 35. VERY annoying.
