The best weapon against Doomsayer is Magic Missile. A couple of them.
A very good strategy in this battle is to start the fight by casting a
Dispel Magic. Doomsayer loses the Blur and the Flame Blade, and will now
fight using only fists and can not kill your characters or summoned
creatures, only knock them unconscious.
I think magical melee weapons also will work against Doomsayer. Must try
a backstab next time...

1) Block the entrance to the cave with some players or monsters.
2) hit him with 'dispel magic' in some form, to kill the blur, and
sundry other protections he may have.
3) attack with magic missiles, +3 scimitars, etc. (bless, pray, haste
all help).

Yeahh...be good ! My favourite strategy to blow out the light
of evil big creatures is to spoil up my best fighter with several
spells. Give him the best equipment but unless you are not
good you certainly can´t kill enemies like the Doomsayer which
will give you 4000exp for slaying. I killed e.g. the Tanar Ri in the
expansion with just my main character.
