Some creatures, most notably the Rakasha in the Druid Grove and the peculiar
man with the Kamakazie Kobolds (!) in Windspear Hills seem to be
invlunerable! I have tried hitting them with both magical and non-magical
weapons, magical and non-magical arrows, magic (including Dispel Magic and
Miscast Magic, but the message console says at least the Rakasha is immune
to magic) but I can't seem to inflict even one point of damage! What will I
need to do to hurt these abominations?
On a related note, are there any special tricks to defeating the Rakasha?
She casts some strange spell which slices away 50% of my remaining HP's so I
end up running away time and time again!
Cheers,
-Fredrik
I don't know how will the kamikazi kobolds be invulnerable, but for the
Rakshasa it might be protection spells. Dispel Magic doesn't guarentee a
100% success you see, and Rakshasa has very high magic resistance and saving
throws.

That's Horrid Wilting. Cleric spell Zone of Sweet Air will dispel it (as
well as Cloudkill), but obviously your cleric needs to be outside the area
of Horrid Wilting.

Not the kobolds themselves, the man (actually a rakshasha) with them.
Rukh Transmuter=Rakshasha noble specialized in the school of
Transmutation.
Are the rakshasha casting Mantle or Improved Mantle to lead, perchance?
(Lots of enemies do that.) And how powerful are your magical weapons?

IIRC, all I needed was +2 or better weapons for the Ruhk Transmuter
(in Windspear Hills), and by the time I got to the one in the Druid
grove, I had what was needed, and merely chopped this one up.

Heh. I had my fighter/mage/thief get Jaheira to cast resist fire on him
then I sneaked in and backstabbed the Transmuter with my +3 longsword. Then
all the Kamikaze Kobolds exploded and if I'm not mistaken they pretty much
killed him, there was not much left afterwards and he was cowering yellow in
the corner. And I took hardly any fire damage having about 80% resist.

Rakshasa are immune to weapons below +2 enchantment and all spells
below level 8!

Don't let her do that. ;-)

Oh. That should explain why I can't seem to kill 'em :-) Thanks for the
info!

Aha! I did not know that.

My magical weapons are about as powerful as a dead fish on a stick (+1).
I'll get something a bit more powerful :-)
