Hi all :)
I'm just doing the Cult of the Unseeing Eye quest and I've found the 2nd
piece of the rift device. I have to destroy the Unseeing Eye with it now.
The first time I came out of the 'room', I was attacked by the Unseeing Eye
and before I had a chance to remember I had a Rod of Resurrection handy,
Nalia was groaning her death cries and slumping lifeless to the floor (well,
perhaps it wasn't quite that dramatic LOL). So I automatically quickloaded
to have another shot, and now for the life of me, I can't find the Unseeing
Eye! It's just nowhere to be seen - and I have my eyes, unlike some we
could mention! ;)

Is this a known bug? Is there a way around it? I had an autosave game from
before entering the beholder lair, but unfortunately it's been overwritten
by me stupidly leaving the area in the hope that would trigger the Unseeing
Eye to come get me.

*heavy sigh* Any ideas?

Thanks!
Tehkella

As I recall I had this problem. Did you quick save after picking the second
part of the rod up. Loading that caused me the problem. I only managed to
solve it be going back to my last autosave.

hope this helps.

IIRC, the appearance of the Unseeing Eye is linked to your
party getting the second piece of the rift device. As Morgan noted,
if you grabbed the second piece of the device and then saved before the
UE showed up, I think you're screwed... perhaps you can drop it and
pick it up again?

Argh! Godsdamnit! I tried dropping it again and that didn't work. *sigh*
I have no autosave from *before* only the one from messing around going back
to the upper reaches. Oh man...

Try this:

Open the cheat console. Type 'CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc5a")' and
then 'CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc5b")'. Make sure you are standing
somewhere near where you found the old second rift divice part.

I have also had this experience. The Unseeing Eye appeared when I
went back upstairs to confront Gaal Et Al. Load your last autosave &
rename it in case this doesn't happen for you, then go try it out.
You'll have to go back down to return the device to Amanautor's
Avatar. Good Luck, Susan

Try using Shadow Keeper, load your game, go into Global Variables and change
Unseeing Eye, click edit and change the variable to a 0 or a 1.

Hi all
I ended up reloading my save game from before meeting the Avatar. It turned
out to be only about an extra hour's gameplay, so no real loss :)

Thanks for your help!

It is if you run the Keep don't want to explain to your
citizenry why the heir to the title died in your charge.
That's better scandal than trying to become her 'prince'
(regardless of your character's sex), I'd say.

But if she was only dead, I'm not sure why the Rod of
Resurrection was necessary. This all took place below the
temple district, after all.
