Watchers Keep First Level : HELP Please - SPOIL ME :)

Fought everything I could on first level (there are still some statues
left that never
attacked me).
PLEASE tell me EXACTLY what to do with the bell book and candle to
get to the next level. (Remember , I must be an idiot :) . Seriously,
don't hint , be specific ; I am ready to slam my fist through the
monitor ... I will REALLY appreciate it.

Read the 3 tattered parchements to find out what to do.
In summary:
Place all 3 items on the altar. [dialog starts]
Ring bell twice
light candle
open book
ring bell.

I have tried putting all three items on the altar and NOTHING Happens !"?
No dialogue or anything else. PLEASe HELP if you can further ! :( I am just
short of desperate(actually I AM desperate but I won't admit it :)

Did you light the fire in the northwest room, then speak to two ghosts (one
there, another elsewhere) to learn the ritual? I think you need to do that
before you can even start the ritual.

I think I only spoke to 1 ghost(the one in the fire room when I
lit the fire). Gonna try that (fingers crossed for good luck). Thanks.

Ok, I have lit the fire spoke to the 2 ghosts and STILL when I put
the 3 items on the altar , NOTHING happens. PLEASE HELP IF YOU Can!!

I know I had that happen to me a couple of times before it worked. Assuming
the 2nd ghost told you the ritual (or you read it from the inside of his
robe), there's one other possibility: Click on the statue behind the altar
to get the little text message, and make sure you put the bell, book and
candle into the altar in the same order they're listed in the text. If that
doesn't help, I'm out of ideas.

There is your problem. You'll have to open the locked door in the NE area,
click on the sarchophagus, encounter another ghost and click on the
sarchophagus again.
